Hello! I'm Mabel, an artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. I graduated from OCAD University in Toronto with a BDes in Illustration. My work focuses on surrealist storytelling and the human experience, with a dreamlike realism. My paintings often feature animals, anatomical or human subjects, and use symbolism from spiritual and esoteric material.
I enjoy painting with acrylic and oil paint to create illustrations inspired by my passion for research, everyday life, music, and my personal experiences. Outside of my practice, I enjoy sewing and playing sports.
I have been awarded the Nicholas Metivier Drawing Award from the Nicholas Metivier Gallery of Contemporary Art for my thesis work, as well as featured in the Toronto Guardian's Day In The Life of an Artist Series.
